This is the quiet madness. The distraction free hours and hours with commision work, or my own project time. Diving into facial features & personality traits of a subject. The merging of imagination & reality. Sometimes the finished work is exactly what I want, other times it's just the beginning of getting it right. Creating caricatures that match what I see in my mind's eye, is like having a very vivid dream at night that you can describe in detail but replicating it in a drawing is more complex. Drawing the same person multiple ways is also gratifying because each version represents a fresh perspective.
