Let's dive deeper into why The Drawing Room exists for you to enjoy. I have spent over twenty years as a cartoonist specializing in caricature art. It's an art form that celebrates the unique characteristics of individuals while allowing lighthearted life commentary and observations. Caricature art is rip roaring fun and so unique in the art world! There is comedy and truth built into the artform. You laugh every time you experience one live as the subject or audience! Whether they are drawn loose and quick in an entertaining way, or finished with fine detail in a studio setting, you're instantly sucked into the art form in a very personal way. Caricatures are the unicorns of the art world. You can be drawn multiple ways, each time something new is pulled forward to observe. Before I learned how to do caricatures I was an aspiring portrait artist. But after I discovered caricatures I NEVER went back. To me a good caricature is a portrait on steroids with the added benefit of experiencing comedy together built in. There is so much creative freedom and versatility in it.
